Wood Sunglasses Care

How To Care For Your Wood Sunglasses

Our wooden sunglasses and watches are built to last. However, like with any heavily worn accessory, proper care and maintenance is required to improve the longevity of your piece of art. All of our products are sent out with a protective coating to withstand the elements of everyday use. Over time, this coating will wear off. To ensure that your wooden sunglasses stay strong and looking like new follow these steps below.

  • Always store your sunglasses in your protective case or microfiber sleeve.
  • To clean your lenses, use the supplied microfiber pouch. Never use tissue paper or liquid based chemicals. This can result in scratching and irreversible damage to the coatings on your lens that are there to protect your eyes.
  • To protect the wood we recommend using beeswax (or clear beeswax lip balm). Rub a very small amount on your finger tip and thoroughly rub it into the wood. If the wood feels tacky take a microfiber cloth and run it over the wood to create a nice smooth coating.
  • When maintaining your sunglasses make sure to check that all the screws are securely tightened.

It is as simple as that. Keep your shades looking as good as new!
